Do you have a blogger on your gifting list this holiday season? I surveyed my blogger friends and compiled a baker’s dozen of some great gift ideas for bloggers. Anything on this list is sure to make your favorite blogger swoon, and then run for her computer!
Gift with caution- blogging may ensue!
Gifts for Bloggers

Sure I have cash to burn…
1. A Really Good Camera
This might mean different things to different people. I just bought myself the nicest camera I’ve ever had, and I’m crazy excited about it. It’s a compact mirrorless, interchangable lens camera, the Sony A6000.
But some people would shun anything other than a DSLR. I didn’t like the feel of them, so I went with a lighter option. This could be an amazing gift, but I’d make sure you know what your giftee wants!
2. A Tablet
Several of my blogging friends mentioned they would like a tablet. I think just about anyone would be thrilled to get a tablet! We have three iPads in my house, but I’m moving away from Apple, so I’d be really interested in trying out the Nexus tablet.
I want to give the gift that keeps on giving…
3. Custom Domain, Web Hosting, and/or a WordPress Transfer
If your blogging loved one does not yet have her own URL, then run, don’t walk, to GoDaddy.com and register it for her! This is a must-have.
And if she’s still on Blogger, help her take the next step in her business and buy her a year (or more) worth of hosting from BlueHost. Then you can set up a Blogger to WordPress Transfer with me! Help her make 2015 the year her blogging business booms!
4. Subscription to Meet Edgar, BC Prime, and/or Learn to Blog VIP Forum
You can give the gift of social media promotion, with a Meet Edgar account. You can read my review of Meet Edgar to get the full story, but it’s a great social media tool that I use and highly recommend!
BC Prime and the Learn to Blog VIP Forum are both fantastic resources for bloggers. BC Prime offers an ever-growing library of information and tools that will take your blog to higher levels, and the Learn to Blog VIP Forum is a community where bloggers can interact and moderators regularly post blogging challenges (think mini-courses) that will help improve your blogging in a variety of different ways.
Just don’t forget that these are subscriptions that require a monthly payment, so make sure your giftee is willing to take over the payments at some point, or would get value from as much as you are willing to pay for upfront.
5. Site Build It/Brainstorm It
This is something that is high on my own list, and it’s currently on sale through December 26th! Site Build It is a collection of tools, including a powerful keyword research tool, that will help develop your site. Any blogger who is interested in improving or starting to utilize SEO would welcome this gift! It is a yearly subscription service, so you could gift the first year, and then she’d have to pay for future years (unless you give it each year- another fine idea!).
What can I get to go with it?
Well I’m glad you asked, and how generous you are!
6. Lighting Set for Photos
If you gifted your blogger with a great camera, the next thing she’ll need for awesome photos is a lighting set.
7. Tablet Keyboard Case
Another thing from my own wish list! If you bought her a tablet, why not get a keyboard case to go with it, and facilitate easier blogging on-the-go!
8. Ticket to a Blog Conference
Two years ago, my husband gifted me a ticket to Bloggy Boot Camp for Christmas. That conference was a turning point for me and my business. Blog conferences are informative, and the networking is priceless. Find a local conference and hook her up!
I had a few too many Starbucks drinks, and now my funds are limited…
Looking for a cheap gift for your favorite blogger? Not to worry. There are lots of smaller, less expensive gifts that will make us happy!
9. A Blogger Planner, such as this one.
10. A Blogger Shirt– this one is on my list!
11. Props for Photos– think dish towels, small plates, figurines- anything that might look cute in a photo!
12. A Book of Writing Prompts
And when in doubt…
13. Hashtag anything!
That’s the list! What would YOU add?
